Every photo carries a block of EXIF metadata: precise GPS coordinates of where it was taken, phone model, and the exact time down to the second. To you it's invisible text; to someone with a basic analyzer, it's the exact address where you were standing.
When this becomes a real threat
Major social networks (Instagram, X, Facebook) strip EXIF on upload. But if you send a photo as a file — by email, as an "uncompressed" Telegram document, via cloud storage — the coordinates arrive untouched. This is literally how soldiers' locations have been tracked from their own photos.
How this cleaner works technically
Your photo is redrawn onto an HTML5 Canvas right in your browser, producing a new file with zero bytes of metadata — the browser simply doesn't carry EXIF over when redrawing an image. The file never leaves your device: UrusMail's servers never see it at all.
